2022 Annual Convention Auction
Ladies and Gentlemen, The next Convention for the AVA will be Ames, Iowa on August 4 – 7.
More details will follow but as always, we will have Banquet dinner, a ride of some kind, a new Convention Token, members buying selling and trading tokens, lots of friendship, fun and an auction.
The auction offers many hard-to-find tokens and some nice pieces at reasonable prices. Members can submit tokens for the auction by sending an email to Chris Donovan. Chris will let you know if the token can be submitted as he will not accept 2 of the same token.
For more information, see the March Fare Box.The Convention is only available for members so if you are not a member, click <HERE> Membership is reasonably priced at $8.00 – $10.00 a year for electronic membership. For $25.00 a year, you will receive a paper copy of the AVA monthly newsletter called the Fare Box, with updates of US and non-US transportation tokens, car wash tokens and parking tokens. You will also receive information on upcoming Exonumia Events, articles on different transportation companies and tokens.

There will be 300 tokens for auction this year at the AVA Convention. They will be a minimum of $5.00 catalog and most will be much more expensive. Some will be very rare that are damaged with bidding starting at half catalog value. You have to be a member to bid on this auction.
Membership is reasonable. (MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION) The cost starts at $10 a year or $8.00 a year if you prepay for 5 years. Once the 300 tokens are sent to me, I will put the list below. You can bid ahead of time by emailing me or mailing me your bids. For those attending Convention, you can preview and bid at the Convention. Good luck bidding.
